ABOUT:
This is a manifesto video. It formed part of a larger pitch document for the new MINI Electric. It's job as the first thing in the deck was to create some excitement for the slides to follow.
CHALLENGE:
Among many challenges with this project. The one that stands out the most was finding the right people to showcase the brand without being exclusive or miss representing the brand or playing into stigmas.
This was the frames from the original storyboard that I designed before the editing began. Since the script was already written, this part went rather smoothly.
Though some parts changed in final video as to what was presented in the storyboard, it still maintained it's general structure.
The thing that I was probably most excited about was how well having two voices worked over each other. I used my own voice as a guide then tried adding a second voice in to see if it would work. To my surprise, everyone loved it.
The reason I wanted to do this was so that the brand doesn't speak in one singular tone and rather as a group. Almost as if the MINI drivers made the video instead of MINI themselves. The goal of the video was to showcase the kind of people that drive a MINI and having one voice didn't feel like it was speaking to a collective. Thus the multivoice.
